Flight
✈️ BCN → Palma
45-minute hop on Vueling. Land, pick up the rental car — bring both International Driving Permits to the desk.
Early afternoon
🦇 Coves del Drac & Lake Martel
Drive ~50 min to Porto Cristo — barely a detour off the road east. A ~1 hr guided walk through limestone caverns ending at Lake Martel for the ~10-min candlelit classical concert from a boat on the water. ~€18.50 pp, buy ahead online. Aim for an early-afternoon slot (high season runs hourly 10 AM–5 PM).
Late afternoon
On to Canyamel
25-min drive to your east-coast base. Settle in: a first swim off Canyamel beach, a sunset drink, an unhurried dinner in the bay.
🎒

Remember & pack today

  • Coves del Drac tickets (buy online ahead if not already booked)
  • Grippy, comfortable shoes for the cave — can be humid and slippery underfoot
  • Rental car documents + BOTH International Driving Permits
  • Repack for the beach base — swimwear/beach gear on top, not buried
  • Sunscreen, hat — you're swimming today
  • A light layer for the cave (caverns run cool even in September heat)
